Effects of On-Chim on immune response induced by irradiation

Abstract
In order to investigate the effects of On-Chim on immune response induced by irradiation. after total body of control group and the sample groups were exposed to £Þ60Co-¥ã-ray, and On-Chim were conducted on the loci corresponding Kihyol(KI13), Shinsu(BL23) and Chek-Sammi(ST_(36)) of the human body every other day for 10 days, and then, number of WBC, quantitation of T-cell and B-cell, lymphocyte transformation, NK cell activity and interleukin-2 productivity were measured.
The results were as follows :
1. Group treated with On-Chim to Kihyol(KI13) loci was increased with the statistical significance in the number of WBC, quantitation of T-cell, lymphocyte transformation, NK cell activity and interleukin-2 productivity as compared with the control group.
2. Group treated with On-Chim to Shinsu(BL23) loci was increased with the statistical significance in the number of WBC, quantitation of T-cell, and B-cell, NK cell activity as compared with the control group.
3. Group treated with On-Chim to Chik-Samni(ST36) loci was increased with the statistical significance in the number of WBC, quantitation of T-cell and B-cell lymphocyte transformation, NK cell activity and interleukin-2 productivity as compared with the control group.
According to the above results, it is concluded that On-Chim was effective upon depression of the immune response induced by the irradiation in mouse. It is recommended that further studies of On-Chim on this kind of disease should be followed for more effective clinical use.
